Again, another day of classes passed by far too slowly...
In our speaking and writing class, we had our very first quiz. It was very simple (conjugating some verbs into the formal aspect of (으)세요. However, we only had five minutes to finish the quiz and it required some extensive thinking on how to form detailed full sentence responses in addition to remembering exceptions of conjugation rules... But, it turns out I got a 9.5/10, so that's not too shabby (I didn't finish the last sentence because I ran out of time).
After language classes, our culture class proved a form of relief. Possibly one of my favorite culture classes thus far, we were able to experiment with calligraphy! We draw patterns, wrote our name, and much more. It was very calming.
We were also able to make fans and write in calligraphy on the fans. Of course, I decided to make something for my boyfriend, which all of the teachers started giggling at and drew everyone's attention towards... thanks, teachers.
Anyways, it was a great experience!
After class, the friend group wanted to celebrate our friend Brandi's birthday! So, we went out for dinner at an all-you-can-eat BBQ place, went to 노래방 (karaoke) to sing our hearts out, and later bought a cake in Sinchon. (: It was a wonderful night out with friends and we had such a great time! Happy Birthday, Brandi!
