Flying was, without a doubt, an interesting experience...
Pros of my flight--
Cons of my flight--
Arriving in 인천 (Incheon):
I was pleasantly surprised at the hotel as it was very affordable, but still exceptionally nice for a one-night stay. They also had a shuttle which took us to the hotel from the airport! My boyfriend and I went out for 삼겹살 (pork belly) for dinner and, though I didn't finish the huge array of dishes, it was 아주 맛있어요 (very delicious)!!

Arriving at 서강대학교 (Sogang University):
My boyfriend and I took the subway to 서울 (Seoul) and I got to experience Korean public transportation firsthand. It was wasn't too different from the D.C. metro, but it is a LOT cheaper and cleaner, which I loved! Our trip was also in the middle of the day, safe from the "rush-hour" horrors, which made it more pleasant. Once we got to the campus, we brought my luggage upstairs and I met my roommate! The two of us have a lot in common (both education majors, for example) and I'm so lucky to be living with a fellow American that I can get along with well. After introductions, my roommate, boyfriend, and I went to a department store to pick up some essentials for our dorm. Then, we went to a have a mock-traditional Korean dinner! Although I wasn't feeling well at all when I arrived in Korea and had to sit out on a group event later than day, I was finally able to get some sleep around 9pm and didn't wake up until 6am. Yay, sleep!!! :)
So, that was my experience getting to the dorms... Sorry I don't have any picutres of my room yet - I'll take some, I promise!
Stay tuned for more interesting posts soon!
