On Saturday night, I didn't go to sleep until around 3:30am... When I got back from Myeongdong around 10pm, I Skyped with Stephanie for a couple of hours. However, because I hadn't talked to Hyunwoo all day (I'd been running around everywhere), I Skyped with him for a few hours as well... Hence, the not getting to bed until 3:30am part.
Because of this, I slept in on Sunday until about 12:30pm.
It was SO nice.
Once I woke up, I decided I didn't want to go out anywhere (I was feeling very ill on Sunday in addition to my lack of sleep), so I sat on my bed and wrote about 6 blog entries in an attempt to catch up from how far I had fallen behind. When I looked at the clock next, it was 4pm. At this moment, I realized that I hadn't eaten either breakfast or lunch and I was starting to get hungry.
Emily suggested a Mexican restaurant in 이테원 (Itaewon, the "foreigner district") because she had heard that it was very good. So, the two of us ventured to Itaewon because we were craving (essentially) Chipotle.
However, what we got was something MUCH better than Chipotle.
Although we had to wait almost an hour to get into the restaurant (there was a long list for us to get through because the restaurant was so popular), it was undoubtedly worth it. The atmosphere was a bit loud and the restaurant was dimly lit, but the food was absolutely DELICIOUS. It was great to have avocado, sour cream, and carne asada again! In all, the food was a bit pricey... But, it tasted great and the portions were rather large as well!
I also ordered a margarita because I hadn't really had a drink in Korea yet and I wanted to treat myself one night... Little did I know that it didn't come in a normal-sized glass, but a chalice.
After we came back from the restaurant, we came back to the drom and did some homework until I Skyped with my mom and blogged some more... I still wanted to relax a little because of my cold, so I decided not to stay up too late or go out anywhere else after the dinner.
What a wonderful dinner that night!
